I Heart Faces Challenge: Family Fun

I took this photo in July shortly after my mom had passed away. 

The photo is based around the blue dress my niece is wearing, my mom had 

bought it for her but never got to see her in it so we did a shoot with the dress that day.

This was just a candid shot I got of my sister with her husband, my niece 

and her friend playing with some smoke bombs.

Hippy

Ive been wanting to do a hippy shoot for along time now.

Well I finally did it. 

Here is what I came up with. 

I did this black and white like this to alot of them, 

thought it looked really vintage.
PS, she is 19 and that is only a cig, 

we thought it looked really cool.

And she actually does smoke. 

Another Cig one, 

again I thought it fit the theme really well. 

This one was actually taken two days before.

As you can see her hair is different. 

Had to do one with my most awesome bike. 

Janis Joplin, is that you?

She just looks so groovy!!

Couldn't decide if I like the color or the BW better,

so I decided both.

She is deffinatly my favorite person to photograph.

Shes been a friend for a long time 

and we just have so much fun doing these shoots.

Vintage Cameras

For the past 3 weeks counting this week, 

I have been attending TCC for photography Level 3 

and Detachable Flash Class.

Hopefully by next year I will be fully certified,

and to get there I had to take these classes. 

In photography level 3 were going to be doing a photo essay.

I picked vintage cameras with books as my theme. 

Here is what I have come up with so far.

All National Geographic Like

So for those of you who don't know, I HATE GRASSHOPPERS.

And these are from a little while back but there pretty awesome.

This is the photos and footage I got of a turtle eating a grasshopper...

that Shane hand fed him.

*caution: although awesome, these are graphic.

Eww that grasshopper looks so gross.

But I love the detail my lens got,

As well as the colors on the turtle.

Eww look at the guts from that nasty grasshopper.

That turtle was happy. 

And look at how awesome my 100MM did!!!

Defiantly my favorite lens. 

This turtle is from a different day, but same activity.

Love the eye on this little guy, sooooo cool!!

Im working on getting the video up, thats whats really national geographic.

Or Nova or Nature....one of those up close nature shows.

Fist Senior Session of the Year

Saturday I got together with a friend of mine to do some senior photos.

These are the first photos I have gotten to do with my Canon 7D.

So she understood she would be a guinea pig.

I think they turned out alright, what do you think?

Gotta have at least one "extreme" close up.

And her eyes are just amazing! 

We went to some huge tubes and there was some pre graffiti. 

Thought it made for a neat background.

Love the colorful background.

This one was candid but turned out really nice.
